Everest Base Camp Trek (16 Days)
If you have ever longed to set eyes on the world's highest summit, then this exciting trek in the Everest region allows you to fulfil this dream. Also, take in some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Himalayas. Ever since the days of early climbing expeditions, the 8848 m mountains have had a lure of their own, drawing climbers to scale it and trekkers to gaze upon its icy slopes. Naturally, the trail to the base camp has become the most popular trekking route in Nepal. During the trek, we follow the main Everest Base camp trail, the route pioneered and still used by many climbing expeditions.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Drive to the international airport for a 30-minute flight to Lukla (2804 m) and trek to Phakding (2610 m).
Day 3: Trek to Namche (3535 m).
Day 4: Rest day at Namche.
Day 5: Namche-Tengboche (3850 m).
Day 6: Tengboche-Dingboche (4350 m).
Day 7: Dingboche-Lobuche (4950 m).
Day 8: Lobuche-Gorak shep (5160 m).
Day 9: Hiking up to Kalapather (5545 m) the base camp of Everest. Return back to Gorak shep.
Day 10: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5400 m) and back to Gorak shep.
Day 11: Gorak shep – Pheriche (4240 m).
Day 12: Pheriche – Namche bazaar.
Day 13: Namche-Lukla.
Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu.
Day 15: Sightseeing in and around Kathmandu.
Day 16: Return flight back home.
