Helambu Trek (07 Days)
Helambu, about 72 km northeast of Kathmandu, is noted for its scenic grandeur and pleasant climate. The Helambu region, extending from the north of Taramarang to the tree limit of the Gosaikund Lake and lower slope of Jugal Himal, has several highland Tamang and Sherpa villages on both sides of the Melamchi Khola. This trek is rated as an easier trek because the elevations are lower, ranging from 800 m and 3600 m, which indicates less climbing and warmer temperatures. One advantage of this trek is there are fewer trekkers here than on the Annapurna trek and some parts of the Everest Trek. However, there is still a wide range of culture and spectacular scenery.
