Langtang-Gosaikund Lake Trek (15 Days)
Langtang is the remote, isolated valley close to the Tibetan frontier. It is enclosed by snow-capped mountains that culminate in the peak of Langtang Lirung (7246 m). The Tamang, whose religious practices closely resemble those of the people of Tibet, inhabit the area. We trek through Larch and rhododendron forests abundant with flowers and birdlife making this trek particularly attractive in the springtime. We leave the valley by ascending past the holy lakes of Gosaikund to enter Helambu via Laurebina Pass (4610 m). You can see Manalsu, Ganesh Himal, and even as far as the Annapurna massif. A series of undulating ridges offer delightful walking before descending to the edge of Kathmandu.
